Santa Visit

November 19, 2020

Is there anything more magical than seeing your name on Santa’s nice list? ❤️

Talk about a magical moment!

We had a very special visit with Santa thanks to F/8 studios in Long Beach. The setting was beautiful and the boys absolutely loved it. If you are looking for a safe, private and magical Santa experience this year, you should really book the Cal Lights Santa Experience.

From the moment you walk through the door to their beautifully decorated outdoor patio, you are completely surrounded with holiday magic. The have multiple areas that give you a variety of looks for your holiday pictures before Santa arrives and the photographer and assistant were super sweet. I took behind the scenes videos while the photographer was taking pictures to capture even more of the JOY. Here is a little peek...

If you have time, you should check out our YouTube video that shows Behind The Scenes of our Santa Experience. In case you can't tell by the video, we loved every minute!

I even joined in for a couple pictures with my boys.

The Cal Lights Santa Experience is an outdoor, private visit with Santa. When you book your appointment, you will get a 30 minute session for $99. 20 minutes of your Santa Experience with a professional photographer taking photos throughout your session. It is a sensory friendly experience for the whole family and you will receive a gallery with your edited images (approximately 20 images) to download within a week.

Be sure to check out their website for more Santa options that are available including Black Santa, Suave Santa and Pet Portraits with Santa. A few moms from the OC Mommy Blogger Tribe had the opportunity to take pictures with Suave Santa and enjoy a glass of champagne. A fun option for any adults who would like a holiday photo with Santa too.

After your Santa Experience, you can shop for some holiday gifts and decorations in their artisanal marketplace. There is also an option for shopping and a family photo on the winter wonderland set without Santa if you are just looking for a great family photo for your holiday card this year and some holiday goodies.

Holiday Pictures

November 17, 2020
This weekend I took my two little guys to Morning Lavender in Orange County. It is this really cute shop and cafe in downtown Tustin in a super cute little area that I have never been to before.

We went there because we were invited to a fun outdoor holiday photoshoot with Magic Paper Studios. They have hand illustrated backdrops and adorable props for the kids. Their shoots are perfect for little ones from 6 months to around 7 years old. For reference, Ledger is almost 2 and Luke is 6 years old. Here are some of the adorable pictures and behind the scenes videos we got from the shoot.

The photographer is Caroline Tran and she is super sweet. Be sure to check out Magic Paper Studios on Instagram and their website to book your holiday pictures. They also have different backdrops for different times of year as well as backdrops available for purchase if you are a photographer looking for a cute setting for your clients.

Now enjoy this dose of holiday cuteness courtesy of my sweet boys Luke and Ledger. 😍

HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM OUR FAMILY TO YOURS!

HauntOWeen LA

October 15, 2020

We went to a new Halloween Drive Thru Experience and it was fun for all of us. The kids all dressed up in costumes and my favorite part was listening to their excitement throughout the whole thing. There was live music, Spooktacular decorations, engaging characters and trick or treating. Each car even got a pumpkin to take home.

Check out our video to see the whole experience: Hauntoween LA

Here are a few shots from the night of the event. Happy Halloween everyone!

Tanaka Farms Pumpkin Farm

October 4, 2020

HAPPY FALL Y'ALL

We kicked off Fall by visiting Tanaka Farms for our first time ever. The boys picked out their costumes/outfits and we were on our way! The Tanaka Farms 2020 Pumpkin Farm is open from September 19th through October 31st. I wanted to share some of our pictures from our adventure and more details for any other families who want something fun to do this month.

Tanaka Farms has two options for their Pumpkin Farm. You can do a Drive-Thru Pumpkin Farm Experience which is open every Saturday and Sunday through October 31st. We did the second option which is a U-Pick Pumpkin with Wagon Ride and is open Monday through Friday from 9-5 through October 30th.

We started with the Wagon Ride that took us on a tour of Tanaka Farms. Wagons depart every 10 minutes and reservations are required. On the wagon ride we found out facts about their 30 acre farm and watched them launch the pumpkin cannon. It went so far we couldn't even see where it landed.

We got to pass by a lot of decorated pumpkins and then tried to pick a favorite out of all the awesome Scarecrows. You can vote for your favorite on their website now. Here are some of our favorites...

Next up on the wagon ride was a stop at the barnyard educational exhibit with farm animals. We got to see goats, piglets and a donkey named Duke. We weren't able to get out for this but the wagon did stop so we could get up and move around to see them and take pictures from the wagon.

After these cute little animals, we arrived at the final stop for our wagon ride and it was time to pick some vegetables. We laughed as Landon tried to pull some out of the carrots out of the ground and kept getting only stems. The boys enjoyed picking carrots, onions and cilantro. Ledger loved running back and forth through the garden.

We stopped and took some pictures by the cute signs and measured how tall the boys were this year.

Finally it was time for them to pick their pumpkins. Landon, Luke and Ledger picked theirs right away. Linkin puts way more thought into finding the perfect pumpkin and even got some help from a very special friend to make sure he found just the right pumpkin to take home.

The U-Pick Pumpkin and Wagon Ride is $25 per person and the whole experience lasts about an hour.  Ages 2 and under are Free, but do not receive a pumpkin. It works out ok when you have a paid adult because the little one can just pick out the adult's pumpkin. Active and Retired Military are Free with ID. And as of right now, face masks and social distancing are required during your visit. I ordered my boys baseball hats with face shields so their faces could be shaded and I could see their smiles. I emailed Tanaka Farms ahead of time to make sure this would be accepted. Before we headed out, we took some more pictures and looked around their little shop that had lots of cute Fall decor available for purchase.

And Ledger couldn't leave without waving at the Tractor and everyone we passed on our way to the car. 😉 Of course we made a video of our Pumpkin Farm fun, so be sure to check that out here: @OCBoysLife

Thank you Tanaka Farms for having us and we look forward to visiting again soon!
